The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company's highest priority is the safety of its customers and associates. As such the Company has a cross-functional steering committee to closely monitor the situation and enact the CDC's recommendations.

In addition, the Company is the first and only retailer to provide the H1N1 vaccine to customers. We have partnered with ESI Medical for the implementation of a series of multi-state flu vaccination clinics that will run from mid-September through December 23, 2009. In total, our pharmacies will host over 600 flu vaccination clinics, including the seasonal and H1N1 (when available) flu, in 250 stores covering six states – New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.
