A&P Announces Rebecca Philbert Has Joined the Company as Senior VP of Merchandising
MONTVALE, NJ - December 11, 2006 - The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company, Inc., today announced the appointment of Rebecca Philbert to the role of Senior Vice President, Merchandising. Reporting directly to Eric Claus, President & CEO, Ms. Philbert is a member of the company's senior Executive Management Team.
With more than 25 years in the industry, Ms. Philbert joins A&P from Safeway, Inc. where she was most recently Corporate Vice President and Senior Lead of the Company's "Lifestyle Store" development project. Prior to that assignment, Ms. Philbert had served as corporate Vice President leading Deli and Foodservice merchandising. She has also held senior level positions in marketing and operations.
